In loving memory of

Armindo Araujo Carvalho Santo

13/01/1947 - 16/06/2026

The family have chosen this music to commemorate their loved one.

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Armindo Araujo Carvalho Santo, 79, of Simms Settlement, share the news of his passing on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at his home surrounded by the love of his family. Born in the Azores, he was a son of the late Joseph and Laura (Lima) Santo.

Armindo Santo first and foremost loved our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He spoke with God daily and leaned on his faith when times were tough. He loved his family very much, he was blessed with three sisters, three children and four grandkids.

Armindo had this deep passion for music, like playing the guitar with his band “Zip Zip” in the 70’s to later on in life learning full songs on the keys. Throughout the years he developed a major love for food. He grew curious of new flavors, cultures, and cuisines from around the world. His pallet was like no other, so complex and skilled. Everyone was welcome for dinner at his house.

Armindo was a father, a man of strength and kindness. He worked hard throughout his life and always put his family first. He will be remembered for his wisdom, and countless sacrifices he made for his family. He will be missed deeply and carry him in our hearts forever. He has been reunited with his mother who he loved and missed terribly.

God Bless our dear father Armindo Santo. May all the angels carry him up to heaven to You Our Lord Jesus Christ!

Armindo leaves behind his much loved wife Maria; daughter, Melissa (Denis DeSousa), Mill Cove; sons, Peter (Cindy) Santo, Hubbards, Andre, Simms Settlement; four grandchildren,    sisters, Adrianna (John Lemire), Niagara Falls, Ottete Santo, Mississauga, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Helen Ferreire.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. from St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, Hubbards. Father John MacPherson officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anthony’s & St. Augustines Cemetery, Simms Settlement. Arrangement entrusted to Personal Care Cremations and Memorial Services.
