In loving memory of

Carolyn Alice Morrison

15/07/1957 - 19/09/2025

The family have chosen this music to commemorate their loved one.

With a profound sense of loss, the family of Carolyn Alice Morrison, 68, of Fox Point, announces her passing at home on Friday, September 19, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Halifax and raised in Fox Point, she was the beloved daughter of the late Clarence and Alice (Coolen) Cleveland.

Carolyn leaves behind her children, Shawn (Athena) of Western Shore, and Melissa Morrison (predeceased by Max Belleau) of Kingston, Ontario; her much-loved and adored grandchildren, Juliette (Seth) Lake, Meadow and Everlee Morrison, and Sydney Morrison-Belleau and the sister of her heart, Corinne (Dan Oullette) of Fox Point; and the father of her children, Peter Morrison (pre-deceased). She will also be missed by her many friends and neighbours.

Carolyn had an immense love for children, dedicating 38 years of her life as a childcare provider at various centers, most recently at Through the Years Childcare in Hubbards. She was a deeply committed member of her community and a proud supporter of many organizations, including the Hubbards and Area Lions Club. In her free time, Carolyn found joy in the simple pleasures of life, spending many hours walking on the Fox Point beach, fishing on Fox Point Lake, and tending to her beautiful flowers. The memories of fishing with her father on St. Margaret’s Bay and admiring the vibrant fall colours will be treasured by her family.

A Celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hubbards and Area Lions Club, where friends and family are invited to share refreshments and memories of Carolyn. A private graveside memorial service will be held at a later date in St. James Cemetery in Fox Point. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Personal Care Cremations & Memorial Services.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the IWK Children’s Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

The family would like to thank Dr. Gibson, Melanie Spence, Heather Prosser, the VON team, and Cathy Childs for all the guidance and support shown to Carolyn and her family during this time, your support will forever be remembered.

  1. Carolyn was a generous, kind, hard working individual. I am grateful she and I met through work because we developed a friendship and deep respect for each other. I will forever cherish our special memories. I loved how we could go a long time without seeing each other and pick up right where we left off. You know you found that special someone in your life when you can do that.
Shawn, Melissa and family my deepest condolences to you all. Carolyn will be deeply missed.❤️

  2. Chris and Julie MacPhee
