Dale Keddy Dumelie
The family of Dale Keddy Dumelie , Mahone Bay, sadly announce her passing, surrounded by the love of her family on her 74th birthday, March 17 , 2025, at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater
Born in Fredericton, NB, she was the eldest daughter of the late Donald Bruce Keddy and Leslie Ann (Hayes) Gaunt.
Dale is survived by her husband, Claude; sisters, Martha (Jay), Anne (Larry), Shelagh
(Kendall); stepsons Stephane and Gael; stepsister Holly (Kelsey) and stepbrother Bruce (Patricia) as well as several adored nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Dale was predeceased by her brother, Norman; sisters, Heather (Gary), Jill and her husband Michael.
In keeping with Dale’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Personal Care Cremations where memories would be so welcomed by Dale’s friends and family.
Sail on sweet Daley you are so loved.

To Anne, Martha, Shelagh, Claude, and family, please know that I will keep you in my daily thoughts and prayers. A favourite memory of Dale was when she and Claude worked at the Lunenburg Yacht Club and how this influenced my children’s dietary interests. Thanks to Dale and Claude, I vividly remember my children hopping into the car holding a freshly baked French baguette after Junior’s sailing lessons, happily munching away!
Alas, Dale has moved onto the ancestor world to be with your Mom, Dad, Heather, Jill, and Norman. I can see all of them with that radiating, beautiful Keddy smile, embracing each other as they send eternal love, guidance, and protection to you all.
Dale, we Didn’t know each other very long, but we became very good friends and you will be sadly missed but never forgotten. You will always be close in my heart. I Love you. Until we meet again. Beulah

Dear Claude Shelagh Martha Anne Jack Alice and Family
Sending to you all Love and Light at the passing of my Beautiful Friend Dale who I loved so very much.
She was one of a kind and Sunday afternoon drives with the girls just won’t be the same without our Loving(best hugs ever) and Fun(great sense of humour and wit) Girl Dale. I’ll especially miss our conversations of Nature(baby hummingbird fleur), Life(so mystical) and the antics of my naughty(door opening) cat Sparrow(who she loved)!
The tears still come Dale but you know I’m a believer. So I’ll see you later! Love you Always. Joan and Sparrow.

I was shocked to read of Dale’s passing. I was a friend of Andrea, Penny and Sandra and along with Dale we had some fun times in Halifax. Even a boat ride on the tri-maran with Claude at the helm. My sincerest condolences to the family. Daley bird was one of a kind.
You always knew when to make an exit, my Ikebana friend. I just didn’t see our adventure in life ending so soon. You will forever hold a special place in my heart. I hope you are scoping out the best spots in heaven for us to enjoy one day. You are sorely missed my kind, sweet, beautiful friend.
Dear Martha and family,
I am saddened for your loss. Although I didn’t get to meet you Martha, while you were here in Montreal, my mother and sister talk fondly of you. Dale helped my mother, Jennifer and my family tremendously when my twin sister and brother were born in 1975, until they could do their nights. Although I was a baby myself, and don’t remember Dale, we have pictures of her and have heard many stories over the years.
Sadly, we are grieving at the same time the loss of my brother Patrick. I wish peace, courage and strength for all who loved Dale. May she rest in peace.

Michel and I are sending you love during these sad days. Our mothers were first best friends then sisters in law.
Dale helped me with my twins when they were born in 1975. She lived with us for 2. 1/2 months. She was sweet and kind.

Dale was indeed a beautiful person inside and out. She was always eager to help others and please.
I knew Dale best from her time working in my brother’s constituency office on Pelham St., Lunenburg. He so appreciated all the efforts she made on his behalf.
I was always glad to see her and have a conversation on my visits to the office.
You felt a little lighter and brighter after having talked to her.
To her family she made the world a better place. Thank you for sharing her with us.
