With a deep sense of loss the family of Deborah Irene McCoy, 63, of Bridgewater, share the news of her passing on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater.

Born in Toronto, she was a daughter of the late Marvin and Hazel (Casey) McCoy.

Deborah spent her working life as a hairdresser, first becoming trained at the Hamilton School of Hair design, and went on to spend her entire career serving her many clients from the salon in Georgetown, Ontario. She was well known for her green thumb as several of her clients would leave a less than healthy plant in her care only to return at their next appointment to go home with a revitalized plant. She would spend hours tending her gardens at home. Deborah was also a lover of animals, particularly Labrador Retrievers. She retired to Nova Scotia to enjoy a slower pace of life.

Deborah is survived by her sister, Christie (Mike) Cross of Oakville and her brother, Andrew McCoy of Toronto, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Deborah’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there is to be no public memorial service, Arrangements entrusted to Personal Care Cremations & Memorial Services.

Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Deborah’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
