In Loving Memory of Elizabeth Mary Thompson
May 14, 1957 – September 6, 2026, Age 69, of New Canada, Nova Scotia.
It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Mary Thompson (Liz), who passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026, at the age of 69, surrounded by her family at South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater.
Liz was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a woman who could not be easily forgotten. She was loving, feisty, fierce, determined, and strong—a woman who faced life on her own terms and loved her family with everything she had.
Liz will be forever loved and deeply missed by her husband, Clarence Thompson; her sons, Stephen Thompson and his wife, Jennifer Thompson, and Scott Thompson and his fiancée, Kirby Gendron; her granddaughter, Emma; and her beloved grandson, Liam Thompson, who held a very special place in her heart; as well as her sisters, Mary (Alan) Conrad and Marie Reid, both of New Germany.
Her grandchildren were among the greatest joys of her life. She treasured every moment with them and was so proud to be their grandmother. She also had a special little place in her heart for her beloved grandoggy, Bella, who brought her so much love and happiness.
Liz loved her family more than anything. She was the heart of her family—the kind of person whose presence made a house feel like home. Her love, strength, laughter, unselfishness, and fiery spirit will live on in the people she leaves behind.
She also loved being out on the water, her time lobstering, and going out on the boat. Those moments brought her happiness and a sense of freedom that she cherished.
Though our hearts are broken by her loss, we are grateful for every moment we were blessed to have with her. Her life was a gift, her love was unconditional, and the memories she gave us will remain forever.
Liz may no longer be beside us, but she will never truly be gone. She lives on in the hearts of her husband, her children, her grandchildren, her family, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Rest peacefully, Mom.You fought hard. You stayed strong. You never gave up. We will carry your love with us for the rest of our lives.Until we meet again, Mom. We love you more than words could ever say. ❤

Lizzie’s family,
I knew Lizzie since we were children. Although we attended different schools, we all enjoyed the many, many summer days when we swam in the river, with her sister Marie keeping watch over us. She was always such a sweet person and truly devoted to her family. Please accept our sincerest condolences. Soar with the angels.
Sincerely,
Heather (Robar) Brine and family
