It is with profound sadness that the family of Glenn Charles Mosher, 74, of Blockhouse,
announces his passing on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Hillside Pines Home for Special Care
in Bridgewater.
Born in Feltzen South, Glenn was the son of the late Charles and Jean (Creaser) Mosher.
Glenn dedicated his career to the petroleum industry, where he became a highly respected subsea specialist in dealing with oilrig blowouts. His expertise took him around the world, working in off-shore oil fields in places like Singapore, Africa, Australia, Brazil, and North America, and earning him several commendations over the years. This demanding career allowed Glenn to provide fully for his family, a commitment that was central to his life.
When he was home, Glenn cherished time with his wife, Gail, and his daughters. The cottage on Indian Lake was a beloved family retreat for many years, creating countless memories, including adventures in waterskiing. For quieter moments, Glenn could often be found outdoors, finding peace and satisfaction in his woodpile, preparing for the season, or enjoying a day of fourwheeling with the boys.
Glenn is lovingly survived by his wife, Gail; his daughter, Lori (Jamie VanTassell) Mosher of Bear River; and his cherished grandchildren, Justin and Thatcher Arenburg. He also leaves behind his sister, Gloria Conrad of Rose Bay; son-in-law, Greg Whalen; special cousin, Carol Mosher of Lunenburg; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Glenn was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Jean Mosher, and his daughter, Terran.
Cremation has taken place. A private graveside memorial service for family and close friends will be held at Feltzen South Cemetery, Feltzen South. The cemetery is located after the pavement ends; follow the gravel road, the cemetery will be on your right. The approximate address is 1035 Feltzen South Road. Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Personal Care Cremations & Memorial Services.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Feltzen South Cemetery or to a charity of your choice.

Tonight, it was with sadness that I found out about the passing of Glenn. Glenn and I first met when working together on a rig in the high Canadian Arctic in 1992. I have always had fond and good memories of working with and knowing Glenn. He was a great all around guy, extremely knowledgeable and someone you knew you could always depend on. Although our paths never crossed much over the ensuing years we used to bump into each other from time to time and catch up a bit. I guess you could say that Glenn stands out simply because of his great personality. I’m sure that Glenn will be missed by many people.

Glenn’s obituary mentioned how committed he was to providing for his family.
This was never more evident than when new, promising treatments for multiple sclerosis were announced but not available in Canada.
Glenn spared no time ,effort or funds making sure Gail received them.

Sincere condolences to Gail and family. In his younger years he was a constant companion with Keith and they had so many good times together. So many times he took Heather water skiing with your girls on Indian Lake and he was always so patient with them. It was sad to know of his illness and now his suffering has ended. Rest in peace, Glenn. We will remember you with happy thoughts. Our love to Gail.

Glenn was a cherished mentor and friend. He was a boss who pushed you to bring out the best in yourself. Once he saw you take the reins of the job he gave his full support and was always avaliable to help even if you reached out from a faraway project. He was a great friend and gave his support to friends without question. His brutal honesty when asked for his opinion was given as he saw it making him someone you could count on in a pinch.
I shall miss him as a true friend and as a valued confidant in navigating many of the troubled waters in life.

Glen was a special man. I have not seen him in quite awhile but I will always remember his kindness after my husband passed away. He brought his wood splitter to my yard and along with other friends, my wood was cut, split and stored away. All in one day. That was his kind, generous, and helpful nature. That single act of kindness will never be forgotten. And neither will he, to me.
