With profound sadness, the family of Jackson Leo Jonathan Gallant, age 4, of Dartmouth, shares his passing on Monday, December 30, 2024, at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family.

Jackson was an extremely energetic child, always full of energy and thoroughly loved to torment his older brother. A full-on game of Nerf guns was always played with full intensity; he enjoyed supervising his siblings’ video game playing, offering advice and encouragement. From his diagnosis and during his treatment, he faced his disease head-on and with much bravery.

He is greatly missed by his parents, Patrick and Jaclyn; brothers, Devin and Caleb; sister, Harmony; grandparents, Blaine and Patricia Gallant, Lillian Gallant, all of Halifax; great-grandmother, Hilda Pye, also of Halifax; as well as several cousins.

Jackson was predeceased by his great-grandfather, Leo Pye.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
