With a great sense of loss, the family of Jacquelyn Louise Gilbert, 62, of Newburne, share the news of her sudden passing at home surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Helen (Zinck) Sawler.
Jackie was a kind and generous soul who was always willing to help those in need. Her warmth and compassion touched the lives of many. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially spending quality time with her family and working on her many diamond paintings while listening to her favorite music, or watching the hummingbirds. She is now reunited with the love of her life, her late husband, Denis Gilbert.
Jackie will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Jackie leaves behind her daughter, Melissa Sawler of New Germany; son, Damian Gilbert, Bridgewater; grandchildren, Skye Deveau, Noah Deveau, and Maverick Gilbert ; sisters, Juanita (Walter) Pierce, Christine Hoskins, both of Sackville, Annette Sawler, Halifax; brother Mike (Linda) Sawler, Bridgewater; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Denis in 2014.
In keeping with Jackie’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Personal Care Cremations.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to the family to help with expenses may be sent by etransfer to [email protected] or the Canadian Cancer Society, would be appreciated by the family.
