Jean Elizabeth MacPherson (MacDonald), age 81, of Cookeville NS.
It is with immense sorrow that we share the news of the peaceful passing of our Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great and Great Great Grandmother, sister, Aunt, friend. She is now in the loving arms of Jesus, rejoicing in his presence. Born in Halifax NS, September 11, 1944.She was the daughter of the late Percy and Elizabeth MacDonald (Munroe).
Our Mom lived a full life. She loved to share stories about her life, and there were many. Her memory always sharp with the details, always giving words of wisdom. Her boldness always preceded her and she would strike up a conversation with anyone who would listen. She showed compassion to those in need and enjoyed sharing her sense of humor. Mom loved a good prank. She loved nature in general and spent countless hours outside gardening. She will be lovingly remembered for her love and devotion to her family, her dog Soni, and her Lord and Savior Jesus.
She was pre deceased by her spouse Phil MacPherson, siblings; Percy Jr, Christopher, Allan, Dennis, Barry, Carolyn, Anne Marie (Annie) Surviving Siblings; Keith, Darrin, Cynthia. She lovingly leaves behind her children; Darlene, Wally (Cindy), Jennifer (Rory), stepdaughter Shelley. And her adorned grandchildren; Sarah, Jeremy, Dylan, Breanna, Shawn (Meghan), Ryan (Raeanne), Calen, Great grandchildren; Latyah, Arnez, Aralia, Azaiah, twins Mya and Madison, Mersy, Kingsley, Charlotte, Everly, Isla, Hayden, Great Great Granddaughter Myli, several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Soni. Even though we deeply grieve her loss, we are comforted knowing that she found joy in prayer, strength in scripture, and peace in the promises of eternal life. The cherished memories will remain with us always.
We wish to extend our gratitude to Mom’s palliative care team & everyone at the South Shore Regional Emergency Department for their compassionate & care during her brief illness. Loving thanks to family, friends, and neighbors who provided comforting words, prayers and kind gestures. Arrangements have been entrusted to Personal Care Cremation & Memorial Services.
In keeping with our Mother’s request, there will be no memorial service. A private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Jean to Elder Dog Canada. Proverbs 31:31 “Honour her for all that her hands have done, and let her words bring her praise at the city gate”

Jean was a sweet person. We were friends long ago in Lower Sackville and reconnected a while ago.
I am very sad that I was away during her illness and death.
