We are so sorry to hear of Jean’s passing Rollie. Jan and I offer our sincere condolences to you and your family.

  2. You knew this was coming, Roly, but it is still hard. You have alot of good memories of Jean and they will help. We met you and Jean a few years ago (60 plus!) and with all the moving around have managed to keep in touch. The last time we got together you were here in Ottawa and came over for breakfast! That was a while ago too. You will now have to send me pictures of Kathy’s creative work!
My most sincere sympathy to the family. I will be thinking of you on the 22nd.

    Evie

  3. My deepest condolences to the family.
Jean was a thoughtful, kind person. With that twinkle in her eyes, kind smile, and understanding way, one was immediately drawn to her. She will be greatly missed and always remain in our hearts.

  4. So sorry to hear of Jean’s passing. I have only known Jean for a couple of years through the “bridge” group at Flourish. I really felt I connected with her and she was so welcoming. Reading the other comments I think I had Jean pegged for the person she was…compassionate, caring, respectful and a fighter! She will be missed!

  5. I am very saddened to hear of Jean’s death and wish to offer sincere condolences to the family, particularly to Roland, Katherine, Stan, Jon and Kaylee.

A few years ago at Jon’s and Kaylee’s wedding, it was indeed a pleasure to have met two wonderful, two friendly people in Jean and Roland. They were very inviting and we connected immediately. ( I would have loved to visit with Jean again but life threw us both a lot of curves and it became impossible.)

Even though Jean was dealing with so many health issues, when she found out I had broken my femur, she took the trouble to write me to encourage me telling me to hang in, that she survived a similar problem and that I could too. Now, that speaks volumes about the compassionate, thoughtful person that she was and consequently I will forever remember in my heart.

Again, sincere condolences are sent your way.
