In loving memory of
Keith Darrell Eckstein
The family have chosen this music to commemorate their loved one.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Keith Eckstein, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Keith is survived by his devoted wife, Kay Eckstein (née Crimp), his sons Rick, Scott (Darlene), Shawn, Shamus (Karen), and his sister Dianne. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his grandchildren: Garrett, Maddie, Kurtlen, Sam, Trent, Cole, Jaxen, Jade, and Quinn.
Born in East River, Nova Scotia to Earl and Marian Eckstein, Keith spent his career with Northern Telecom (Nortel), traveling the world before retiring in Florida.
A passionate guitarist, Keith spent much of his spare time playing music. He excelled at his craft and was even fortunate enough to perform with Chubby Checker—we like to believe he’s “twisting again” in heaven.
Cremation has taken place with a graveside memorial service to be held on Sunday, July 6, 2025 with a time to be finalized from St. George’s Anglican Church Cemetery, East River, Nova Scotia. Pastor Jennifer Sutton officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Personal Care Cremations.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia in Keith’s memory.
