In loving memory of
Kimberley Carole Hodgson
Kimberley Carole Hodgson.
Predeceased by her parents, Eileen Esther (Reynolds) and Victor Hodgson.
Survived by Catalin (Cat); aunts, Sheila, Gail; uncle, Donny, and cousins Kevin, Lori, Peter, and Tammy.
Kim was born and raised in Woodlawn, Dartmouth, attended Prince Andrew High School and graduated with Distinction from Mount Saint Vincent University with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
She backpacked in Europe from Greece to the Artic Circle with her best friend – an experience she referred to as “one of the best things I ever did!” Following her adventures, she moved to Toronto where she enjoyed everything the entire city offered. She then joined Hewitt Associates for her working career and retired at the age of 49, with the title of Principle, to return home to live on the ocean with her husband and to be close to her family.
During this time, Kim also loved her karate practice where she achieved the rank of 5th Dan under instruction of 8th Dan Zvonko Celebija, her sensei and close friend. She competed both provincially and nationally.
Upon moving home, she opened Bayswater Fitness and enrolled at the Canadian College of Homeopathic Medicine. Kim was fortunate to be able to find and follow her many passions in life. She will be remembered for her laugh and wild but wise ways.

50 Wonderful Years of Friendship
It was a true privilege to have Kim (“Hodge”) as my best friend. For 50 years, we shared countless amazing times together — laughing, dancing, traveling, and chasing incredible adventures. From junior high school through university, and then backpacking in Europe — “the best thing we ever did” — we created memories I will cherish forever.
Later, we found ourselves in the “Hip City” (Toronto), furthering our career paths. Cheryl (“Angel”) soon joined the journey, and together we built more lasting memories.
Kim was always inspirational, motivational, and refreshingly straightforward. She was the friend you could turn to with anything — in good times and challenging times. She always gave the right and level headed perspective. So strong. So brave. So much fun. And yes, the booming laugh! Kim lived her life to the fullest…and on her terms. She was an incredible, amazing friend and confidante.
I miss her so much already, as she has now journeyed into what she calls the “non-physical.” Her soul will live on forever in all of us who were blessed to know and love her. I am sharing some photos of our adventures together – it truly captures our girl. These memories will live in my heart and soul forever. Love Cathy (“Magoo”).

Dear friend Catalin,
I was so heartbroken to hear about Kim’s passing. But when I think of her, I can’t help but smile — because the Kim I knew was full of light, strength, and kindness. She faced every challenge with courage and grace, and she inspired everyone around her. Meeting you both during my time in Halifax was such a gift; your love and friendship brought warmth and joy into my life.
I’ll always treasure those moments by the ocean — the laughter, the talks, and the sense of peace we shared. Kim’s strength, love, and generous spirit will always stay in my heart. The time spent with you both will always mean a lot to me.
Rest peacefully, dear Kim.
Dear Cat,
We had never met, but Kim was a wonderful friend, a colleague, a mentor, and a force of nature.
Beautiful and brave, brilliant and kind.
I am forever grateful to have been her friend.
Kim, one of the original “Power Women” of the 80’s. She was a great pal in high school, and everyone who met her knew she would be a success story before she succeeded.
Warmest condolences to all who loved her.
RIP Old Friend. (PA Class of 77)
My dear Cat, family, friends…
Bayswater was pure bliss when our paths would cross on beach, lane walks, encountering Kim’s breathtaking energy and beauty. She inspired dance, movement, laughter and joy in her every fibre. Not to mention her wisdom instructing how not to walk! Haven’t we been well blessed having shared the less travelled road, being in her glorious, upbeat presence?! Sadly missed, forever remembered with love.
Dear Cat, Kim’s extended family and friends,
My heart goes out to all of you. I am so sad to know of Kim’s passing. Kim was a dear friend and invaluable colleague to me and to so many others at Hewitt in Toronto. More than 50 of us have been on a LinkedIn chat today, sharing our sorrow and heartwarming memories of the incredible Kim Hodgson. I will figure out how to print that and get it to you. In the meantime, sending my deepest condolences and love.
Dear Cat:
I am so very sorry you have to bear this loss but I know Kim would want us to dwell on the many good memories and knowledge that her light will live on. She was my dearest friend and my life was forever changed by knowing her. Her wisdom will live on through those of us touched by her grace.
Sending you a big hug and give Hoishie a pat for me.
Love
