In loving memory of
Mary Susan Bremner
The family have chosen this music to commemorate their loved one.
The family of Mary Susan Bremner, 98, of Chester, NS, announce her passing on Monday, March 31, 2025, at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
Born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, she was a daughter of the late Jim and Mercedes (Columbe) Aucoin.
Mary Roy (Bremner) was a kind, sweet woman loved by all that met her. Over her 98 years she saw many changes in her life, but one thing never changed and that was her devotion to family. Those who knew Mary could tell you tales of her love of life and how she brought joy to those around her. She loved to laugh and could make anyone feel welcome in her home. Among her many gifts, she was an amazing cook and was known for her homemade bread, pies and cookies for miles around. Nobody could visit without being offered tea and a delicious homemade sweet. Hospitality was her middle name and people were drawn to her like a magnet. She will be remembered for her sweet smile and her giving nature. She will be deeply missed , but her legacy of love and kindness will continue to influence all who met her. She has not left us because we will carry her in our memories and in our hearts.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Anne (Bruce) Sinnis of Chester Basin, Lorraine Daley, Golden, BC; sons, David (Sandy) Roy, Chester Grant, Don (Carol) Roy, Salmon Arm, BC; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; brother, Jerry Aucoin; sisters, Carmel Wadden, Anastatia White; son-in-law, Murray Myra; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Aurele Roy; second husband, Bob Bremner; daughter, Eileen Myra and son, Jimmy and his wife Margott Roy; brothers, Frankie, Sonny, Stevie, Jude, Danny; and sisters, Caroline Aucoin, Pearl Currie and Lorraine Rogers.
