Mildred "Millie" Ella Clark

With heavy hearts, the family of Mildred “Millie” Ella Clark, 66, of Dartmouth, announces her sudden passing at home on Monday, February 9, 2026. Born in Windsor, she was the daughter of the late George and Joan (Fogarty) Clark.
In her early years, Millie’s high energy and outgoing personality shone through as she operated a pool hall in Dartmouth—a job she truly loved. Following the birth of her children, she transitioned to the role she held most dear: a devoted homemaker and mother.
Millie was known for her beautiful voice and was rarely found without a song on her lips, whether she was at home, in the car, or joining her mother at local jam sessions. A free spirit at heart, she loved riding on the back of a Harley-Davidson in her younger years and expressed that passion through her unique, extensive collection of pig-themed ceramics and keepsakes. She famously embraced her nickname, “the Dragon Lady,” with a sense of humour and pride.
She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Clark, Mahone Bay; her son, Chris (Moncton); two stepdaughters, Crystal and Rhonda Harvie, Windsor and her sisters, Heather Clark, Windsor, Cathy (Bunkie) Lawrence, Falmouth, Nancy (Jerry Connolly) Clark, PEI, and Laura (Jeff) Leopold, Ellershouse; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Millie was predeceased by her parents and her husband, William Harvie.
Cremation has taken place with a Celebration of Millie’s life to be held at a later date when the weather is more favorable. Arrangements have been entrusted to Personal Care Cremations & Memorial Services.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia would be deeply appreciated by the family.

Oh I was totally devastated to hear this. I met Millie through my late husband Randy as they were friends in 1988. She became a dearest friend to me also. Many laughs many songs. We travelled many a journey from spryfield to bramber. She was also my neighbour on Tremain Cres. Always a smile and a huge. “ Valley “ was what she called me. I’m sorry Dawn and Chris. There’s never enough time with ones we live. She was also my”Simply the Best “

Words cannot express my sadness. I absolutely loved Millie. We had a bond that went back to 1988 when I met her. She was a good friend of my late husband Randy and became a great friend to me. Sorry Dawn, Chris, family. She sure loved to laugh and sing. So many tunes remind me of her. It’s never enough time with someone who loves.
