Nikki "Nick" Bruce Boyd

The family of Nikki “Nick” Bruce Boyd, age 69, of Halifax, is saddened to announce his passing at home on Monday, January 12, 2026. Born in Windsor, Nova Scotia, he was the beloved son of the late George and Kathleen (Patterson) Boyd.
In his youth, Nick was an exceptionally talented golfer. At just 16 years old, he was crowned the Nova Scotia Under-19 Junior Champion. Representing the Ken-Wo Golf Club and his home province, he competed at the National Junior Tournament in Montreal in 1973.
In his later years, Nick worked as a limousine driver in Halifax. His warm and gentle personality made him a favorite among clients, many of whom requested him by name. A devoted fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Nick took great pride in the collection of team memorabilia that filled his home. When he wasn’t cheering on the Leafs, he changed seasons and proudly supported the Toronto Blue Jays.
Nick is survived by his brothers, Gary Boyd of Chester and Rick Boyd (Wendy) of Bedford, and his sister, Gwen Levesque of British Columbia. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Alec Walker and her family, whose kindness and companionship meant the world to Nick.
Besides his parents, Nick was predeceased by his brother, Ken and sister Judy Watson.
Cremation has taken place with an interment to be held at a later date at Brookside Cemetery in Bedford. Arrangements entrusted to Personal Care Cremations & Memorial Services.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Habitat for Humanity.

To the Boyd family, my condolences on Nikki”s passing. I grew up playing sports with Nikki in Kentville, but primarily hockey. I remember him as a gifted athelete with a very quick wit. RIP

To the family of Nikki my deepest condolences , as a junior at ken-wo Nikki and I played a lot of golf together although I never beat him it was always a pleasure to watch the talent he displayed each and every time we played .. Cheers my friend
