Ronald George Robinson
The family of Ronald “Ron” George Robinson is deeply saddened to share that Ron passed away at his home in Black Point on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the age of 71 after a long, courageous battle with COPD.
Ron was born in Halifax on January 24th, 1955, the only child of George and Eileen (Reid) Robinson. He was a respected figure in the plumbing and heating industry, a career that began with a part-time job at T.P. Calkin while still in high school. Over the years, he brought his expertise and leadership to Crane Supply and EMCO, where he ultimately retired as Industrial Division Department Head.
Outside of work, Ron was a man of many passions. He was a dedicated coach, a “Grill Master” to his family, and a lifelong fan of the Blues. Whether he was cheering for his favorite sports team or coaching his son Adam on the baseball diamond or football field, Ron’s energy was infectious. His great sense of humor will be deeply missed, but his greatest legacy remains the love he had for his family.
High school sweethearts, Ron and his wife Margaret shared 47 years of marriage. He was a proud and devoted father to his daughter Amy Robinson (Adam Bowes), Halifax, son Adam Robinson, and adoring grandfather to 10-year-old Kallan Latta-Robinson, both of Hammonds Plains. To Ron, his family was the most important part of his life.
Following Ron’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no public service. Arrangements are entrusted to Personal Care Cremations & Memorial Services. We, Ron’s family would like to thank the wonderful people whose compassion, support and kindness have guided us through the last 15 years. The VON, especially Tabatha and Angie; our girls at Closing the Gap Continuing Care, Crystal, Tiffany and Heather, Lesley MacGregor, Ron’s Nurse Practitioner; all of our incredible neighbour friends on Joy Road; and the doctors, nurses and paramedics who have treated and cared for Ron over the years, to all, we can’t thank you enough. For anyone wishing to honour his memory, we suggest making a donation to a charity close to your heart.

We are very sorry to learn of Ron’s passing. and send heart felt condolences to Marg, Amy and Adam. We especially enjoyed Ron’s unique sense of humour when the Robinson’s lived next door to us for many years. I hope wonderful memories will help to alleviate the sorrow you are feeling today.
Marg, Amy and Adam, I am so sorry to hear about Ron’s passing. I have fond memories of Ron from all the time I spent in at your home while Amy and I were growing up. I remember Ron as a kind and funny man. One of the images that sticks out the most is of Ron watching over the BBQ in the garage of your Redwood Avenue home. From the very first time I met Ron, I knew what a fine gentleman he was. A man of kindness, integrity, selflessness, devotion and intelligence. It was never about him. He had a twinkle in his eye which matched his wonderful smile and spot on sense of humour. I always left any encounter with Ron feeling energized and validated. A gentleman indeed-
