Susan Janice Miller
The family have chosen this music to commemorate their loved one.
In the early morning hours of Dec. 13, 2025, Susan Miller, 76, died peacefully at home with her life partner of 33 years, Ron Hollett, by her side.
Susan spent time living in Toronto and Winnipeg, but she always felt the strong pull of home and returned to Nova Scotia. After living and working in Halifax for many years Susan and Ron decided to move to Beech Hill in rural Nova Scotia where Susan was able to create the garden she long desired.
Supervised by the much-loved family cats as company each Christmas Susan would cook what her brother Brian describes as the best fish chowder in the province. Sadly, it was not to happen in 2025.
Susan was pre-deceased by her mother Mary (Munro) and father Graham Miller.
Ron wishes to offer a special thanks to medical staff at the VON and palliative care program who provided professional support and comfort during Susan’s final weeks at home.
Following Susan’s wishes, cremation has occurred, and a public memorial service will not be held. Arrangements entrusted to Personal Care Cremations & Memorial Services.
The family asks that, in place of flowers, donations be made to Bide Animal Shelter or a charity of your choice.
