In Loving Memory of Susan Reilly
With deep sorrow, the family of Susan Reilly, 81, of Lunenburg, announces her peaceful
passing at home, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born in Saskatchewan, she was the daughter of the late John and Vera Maly. She was
preceded in death by her beloved husband Francis Reilly.
Susan is survived by her cherished family; her daughter and son-in-law in California and
her two brothers in Nova Scotia.
Susan’s family expresses heartfelt thanks to her friends in Lunenburg and the residents
of Sandy Hollow Apartments, who became more than neighbours to Susan — they were
an extended family. Their companionship brought great comfort, especially to Susan’s
daughter from afar, knowing her mother was surrounded by care and friendship.
A special thank you is extended the South Shore Health Palliative Care Team at
Fisherman’s Memorial Hospital for their compassion, support, and understanding
throughout her final journey. Their kindness will always be remembered.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no public
memorial service. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Personal Care Cremations.
Susan was an avid reader and a very regular patron of the local libraries. In lieu of
flowers, please consider a donation in Susan’s memory to the South Shore Public
Libraries or read a book in her honour.

Deeply saddened to hear of Susan’s passing today. Although we hadn’t seen each other in awhile, I always thought of her. And I will cherish the memories of her company and conversations. My heartfelt condolences to her beloved brothers Stan and Peter and to her daughter and son-in-law. Rest easy dear Susan. You’ll never be forgotten…
