It is with profound sadness and a deep sense of loss that the family of Terri “Janet” Roy, 59, formerly of Keswick, Ontario, announces her passing on Saturday, July 11, 2026. Terri passed away peacefully at the Dartmouth General Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, she was a cherished daughter of the late Camille and Elizabeth (Mercure) Bourque.
Terri dedicated her professional life to Hobart Canada, always balancing her career with her greatest joy—nurturing her deep bonds with family and close friends. Generous to her core, Terri devoted countless hours to supporting those around her and volunteering in numerous ways. Her impact rippled far beyond the walls of her own home, leaving a beautiful, permanent mark on every corner of the communities she loved so dearly. To know her was to understand what it truly means to live a life dedicated to others. She was, in the truest sense, a magnificent light in a world that can often feel dim—a steady, radiant warmth that people naturally gravitated toward.
The spaces she occupied are quieter now, but the legacy of her kindness remains vibrantly alive. She taught us all that a life well-lived is measured by the love you leave behind. The profound void left by her absence is a testament to just how brightly her light shone, and though she is no longer with us, her warmth will continue to guide, inspire and comfort everyone who was blessed enough to be loved by her.
Terri’s warmth, humour, and kindness will be deeply missed by her cats; Jake and Joey, her daughter; Robyn Roy (Victoria Leitz), her siblings; Nancy Arsenault (Widow), Dianne Bourque (Roger), Michael Bourque, Maureen Després (Carl), Leona (John) Cote, and Rita Perry (Bill). She will also be fondly remembered by her brother and sister in-laws, beloved nieces, nephews, her god son; James, a wonderfully wide circle of friends, and her cherished extended family at Centennial Park. In addition to her parents, Terri was predeceased by her brother; Daniel Bourque, her nephew; Wayne and her niece; Christina.
In keeping with Terri’s wishes, she will be honoured with a Celebration of life to be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Personal Care Cremations & Memorial Services.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Terri’s memory may be made to the charity; My Grandfather’s Cat, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, or a charity of your choice, a gesture that would be deeply appreciated by her family.

Terri was an integral part of the Hobart Team for the past 13 years. Dedicated, committed and caring, the entire Hobart family will miss Terri’s spirit and compassion. Rest in Peace.

So sorry to hear of Terri’s passing. For the short three years I knew Terri with Hobart as a dispatcher, she was very loyal and knowledgeable to her job and always there for any questions you would have. Even though I never met her in person, just talking to her either by phone or email you realize how dedicated she was to her job. You will be missed.

Terri will be remembered for her hard work, determination, wonderful sense of humor, and the support she always provided to the Atlantic team. Her strong personality and dedication earned the admiration of everyone who worked with her. Our sincere condolences go out to her family, friends, and colleagues. She will be deeply missed.
